A gentle poolside stretch during an aquatic session at the Aquatic Center Complex
Aquatic exercise for expectant mothers

AquaNatal.

A six-week programme for expectant mothers in the second and third trimesters. The buoyancy of water makes movement comfortable by offloading the bump, spine and pelvis.

Each session blends gentle strengthening, cardio and stretching to keep moving throughout pregnancy, especially when land exercise may be challenging.

Classes also give expectant mothers a safe space to share the journey to motherhood together.

Led by a physiotherapist with specialist training in women's health.

Body-weight Pilates on the mat

Mat Pilates.

Core strength, spinal alignment, controlled breathing, and the small stabilising muscles that hold everything else together. No machines: just you, a mat, and a clinician-led routine that progresses across the term.

Many patients use it as the step out of physiotherapy and into independent training. Many regulars come just for the class, no referral needed.

Adjusted and progressed for each participant.
